SURPRISE (at least for now)! That's right, we went for our ultrasound at 19 weeks and 4 days, but our little baby didn't want to get in a good position for us to find out whether we are having a boy or girl.
This is how little ziggy wanted to stay the whole time with it's little legs almost touching it's head (well at first when we went in ziggy was in a breech position so all we could see was the top of his/her head. Thankfully an hour and a half later ziggy changed positions so we could see a profile). The technician wasn't able to get all the views she wanted of some of the organs so we will actually be going back in 2 weeks and hopefully we will get to see a better picture of everything. Of course we would like to know the baby's sex, but most importantly we want to know that our baby is developing well and is healthy.
After all in most places in the world women don't ever even have an ultrasound and if they do (like in India) they are not allowed to find out if the baby is a boy or girl because of the high rate of abortions with girls. So sad :( We feel better knowing that everything seems to be ok right now, but keep us and little ziggy in your prayers. Ziggy's heartrate was 142 bpm and weighs around 10.5 oz! And everyone still thinks I don't look pregnant!

ReplyDeleteYour little one is precious!!! Our little guy was exactly opposite of your your baby....he wouldn't be still during our ultrasound! I hope you are feeling good. I can't believe you're still not showing.
