Big Girl!

Here's Naomi in her big girl bed. We actually moved her into it this past November at about 27 months old (for my own record keeping :)). She has loved it and done very well in it except for one time when she got stuck between the wall and the side due to the widow ledge leaving just enough room for her to fit, so we turned the bed like this and haven't had any problems. She did get up once recently during her nap. She was standing in a chair at the light switch trying to turn on the light. I think she may have been sleep walking though because when I picked her up to put her in bed she just laid her head down and didn't say anything. She didn't seem to remember the incident either, which is very unlike her. I wouldn't be surprised if she does take after her Mommy, who has slept-walked ever since she was a little girl.

Here she is in front of the dresser which also has a mirror that we haven't hung yet (thanks to our 1920's plaster walls it will take some extra effort). The chest drawer fronts are actually reversible to a natural wood color on the back with plain handles so she can use this dresser when she gets older and no longer likes the little girl colors.

We weren't planning on getting a new bed, but found this bedroom set at an amazing price online and it matched her curtains and painted name. Unfortunately it arrived with some defects and missing the colored drawer fronts so we had a fun time trying to get it exchanged, but in the end we got it taken care of. My mom added the green onto the bottom of the dust ruffle since it hung off the floor about a foot showing all her toys. I think it all turned out pretty cute.
